A former heavyweight champion boxer Shannon Briggs says promoter Shelly Finkel and his associates owe him nearly $725,000 for last fall’s title bout against current world champion Vitali Klitschko that left him hospitalized. Briggs, 38, who spent 12 days in a German hospital after losing to Klitschko, says he walked away from the fight with only $25,000. Briggs claims that he was ripped off by his former promoters and business partners and claims his signature was forged on documents.
